The central ambiance of the hotel adds to the charm of my stay, and I loved its easy access to both the waterfront and the beautiful Victoria Park, only a 15-minute walk away.

I liked the queen room with Shower and the bathroom plus 2 double beds. The hotel was set in a central area very close to other restaurant and services around as well as main attractions.

We were given a newly renovated and large room with the bathroom and king size bed, as example. The breakfast was lovely and marvellous and offered lots of items.

Why I'm torn on this
Staff was friendly and accommodating! The beds were among the most comfortable I've ever experienced, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The WiFi wasn't reliable , frequently disconnecting and negatively impacting my experience.

This charming hotel easily gave me a glimpse of architecture from the early days of Charlottetown. I enjoyed this glimpse into the past and the relatively short walk to the wharf.
We were booked into a room that was located on the first floor, unfortunately right above the venue a wedding reception was being celebrated. Staff were able to move us, however, needing to repack late in the evening was very unpleasant. I'm afraid this wasn't our only concern as we lost connectivity to the WiFi within an hour of checking in - this was eventually resolved by restarting the router, but quite upsetting to my special needs son. Sorry, but we will not be returning, nor suggesting your hotel to friends and family

The hotel was nice, but the parking was awefull. If you didn't get there early you had to park in the street and hope you didn't get ticketed before you left.(their small parking lot is open to public parking as they say in their advertising, but what they don't say is that their parking lot does not even have enough spaces for the guests). The hotel attend was kind enough to tell me that they don't start ticketing until after 9am, so I could park at a meter in the street. Thanks alot!! They could also use some strong cleaners for the mold in their ancient showers!!! We paid half price for this room on Booked.net, I am glad I didn't waste money on full price at this hotel!!!!!

comfortable stay with early check-in
Early check-in made our arrival easy , and the room was spacious with clean linens. We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, which enhanced our experience. The boutique feel of the hotel created a homey atmosphere that we appreciated.
There were a few noise disturbances at night.

My friend and I liked the downtown location and the traditional hotel look of the R.C. The price was extremely reasonable.
We were unable to access a message that had been left for us the telephone in our room. The staff were very helpful but were unable to fix the problem.

Location was good -- walking distance to downtown area-- great
We stayed on a Thursday and Friday nights -- our room was directly above the loud music - dinner theater/wedding dance? First night -- wedding dance second night -- good job we did not try to get sleep early-- turn tv up loud to hear above music -- not good experience. The parking for hotel guests was a problem due to the festivities-- trying to find a spot.Room was small-- no room for chairs/coffee table. If I returned I would take a room on 3rd floor to escape the music -- the hotel should look after their own guests ahead of weddings, etc

The hotel's historic charm and friendly staff were good. While the room had some cleanliness issues and came with a noisy environment due to events, the location was perfect for exploring downtown. Dining options were unimpressive, leading me to eat elsewhere, but overall a nice experience.

Both my husband and I, along with the other couple we were traveling with, liked the location, the price, the clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast we had was very good and the service efficient. The front staff were efficient as well. The hotel has retained the aura of an older classy hotel. All it needs is a few upgrades in the hallways and bathrooms.
I have nothing bad to say about it.

I enjoyed the history and feel of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, well kept and very clean. The staff was excellent as well as helpful. I would recommend it for its antique charm.
Being an Older building, it had the disadvantage of lack of acoustical insulating properties. Sounds from both adjacent rooms were quite discernible. I could not recommend it for a traveler insisting on a quiet stay. As I was checking out, another guest at the front desk was definitely not happy with his stay for the exact same reason. Having a microwave in the room would also been helpful for my stay.
